Handmade Festival

Website: http://www.handmadefestival.ca

Info from the website:
The Handmade collective, headed by Leia Beland-Rawson, Heather Hargraves and Natalie Wu has been working endlessly putting this amazing event together, and we are overwhelmed by the response from not just the crafting community but the community at large.

Our intention with this festival is to provide a venue for everyone creating anything by hand, to share skills and learn from one another in a free and interactive environment.

This festival and the workshops are available to any skill level, and most workshops are all ages, so please bring your kids!

Now doesn't that sound like something you just can't miss???

Visit the website!
Sign up for workshops!
Enjoy the Handmade Festival!

International Online Tracking - Local Post Office List

This is a GREAT list at TooSis' blog.

They are links to post offices in lots of countries - just in case you ever need to contact any of them. Neat eh? And interesting just to browse around, too. :)

Fair Isle Tam - completed!

The Fair Isle Tam is completed!

:)

I am kind of pleased with how the colours turned out.

You may recall, this is my first attempt at Fair Isle knitting.

In fact, it was my first New Year's resolution to learn it!

Of course, I got a head start on this project back in November when Patons' blog had a KAL (knit-a-long).

Um, there are a couple of boo boos in this finished tam.

Nothing that will impact the wearing of it, of course.

Just cosmetic.

If you're on facebook, come on over and comment if you see what the boo boos are!
Be sure to become a fan of my page while you're there. :)

Super Powers

If you could have a super power, what would it be?

There's a tv show on where Julia Dimon travels to Bogotá Columbia and during this episode she says that the super power she would most like to have is language. I agree! I would love to know any language that is needed to communicate whereever I am in, and in whatever country!

Before I was five, I spoke Dutch fluently and then lost most of it when I learned English. Luckily I can still understand a lot of it! I took the obligatory French in elementary and high school and even a little bit in college. High school offered German and Latin so I took those too. Looking back, its too bad they didn't offer Spanish - "dos cervesa por favor" will only take you so far!

What super power would YOU like to have?
